Overview

The St. Ignatius Loyola School of Retreat

Direction is a two-year formation program

dedicated to preparing men and women to lead

others through the Spiritual Exercises of St.

Ignatius Loyola.

Rooted in the Ignatian tradition and supported

by the rhythms of prayer, silence, and the

Church’s sacraments, the program forms

directors who can discern well, listen deeply,

and guide others with theological clarity and

pastoral wisdom in faithfulness to the Church’s

teachings.

The entire curriculum is designed to guide

directors in discerning the movements of grace

and the human dynamics that influence an

individual’s spiritual journey, all within the

framework of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises.
