Choose Your Silent Retreat
What is a Preached Retreat?
A Silent Preached Retreat offers daily talks given by a retreat master to a group. The talks guide your prayer and reflection. This style of retreat is ideal for those seeking structure, communal liturgy, and quiet space to grow in friendship with the Lord.
Elements of a Preached Retreat:
- Talks given by retreat guide
- Semi-structured day with group prayer, talks, and guided meditations
- Held at St. Charles College or Our Lady of the Oaks
- Single sex
What is a Directed Retreat?
In a Silent Directed Retreat, each retreatant meets one-on-one daily with a spiritual director, often a Jesuit priest, who tailors your retreat around the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
This is a more personalized, prayer-centered option. Retreatants are asked to pray 4 - 5 times each day.
Elements of a Directed Retreat:
- Daily spiritual direction (30-45 minutes)
- Includes Holy Mass and Adoration
- 3-Day, 5-Day, 8-Day, & 30-Day options
